RULES AND REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS 

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for membership, the persons age must be between 16 and 18. 

Must be presently enrolled in high school.

If an individual drops out of high school, then they no longer eligible for membership.

If enrolled in high school, the junior member must maintain a passing grade in all subjects. The training officer may call the high school at anytime to ascertain the standing of the member.

New applicants must live inside Guil-Rand Fire district or have approval from the Fire Chief or his designee if they are located just outside the fire district.

   A release must be signed by the applicant’s parents or guardian and must accompany the application.


Duty and Training Requirements:

All Junior Firefighters are required to attend the monthly training that is scheduled. 

Pull required duty periods on Saturday or Sunday. Duties should be scheduled so they do not interfere with school responsibilities.
